Revitalize the old Theatre strip

Inside

In 1914, The Imperial Theatre opened in the building now known to us as Barrymore's Imperial Arcade. Throughout the 1920s, it was the place for vaudeville and later the exciting new (for Ottawa) medium of film. After a night at the cinema or (a perhaps riské burlesque), theatre-goers would head for drinks or a warm hearty dinner made from scratch. Imperial food & Beverage pays tribute to old Ottawa theatre and cinema scene by offering patrons relaxing refrshments after a show, and with our movie nights.

Our philosophy is to make home-cooked meals from scratch, without additives

We aim to please by offering healthy, back-to-basics comfort food and home-style cooking, with a dash of urban variety.

We get back to the art of cooking: rather than buying expensive pre-cuts of meat, we buy whole, lean and grass-fed. Braise the shoulder, roast the leg, pass the savings on to you. Lean beef for lean times...

We support local goods

Lasagna

Farmers of Eastern Ontario are the cornerstone of this prosperous region, passing on their trade from one generation to the next. And we make it a point to support them.

We use local suppliers where possible for produce, meats, dairy, and beverages. We make the most of farmer's markets for organic and seasonal produce.

Beau's is a small, family-run company in Vankleek Hill. They brew "interesting, tasty beers using the highest quality all natural ingredients like certified organic malts and local springwater". Lugtread Lagered Ale is their tribute to the classic beer of Cologne, Germany. Heritage Brewing, located in Ottawa, is known for their Traditional Dark Lager.

Our coffee beans are supplied by Ideal Coffee, a local roaster who sells fair trade beans, which are drip brewed and thermally held. We offer a one-size takeout with a bring-your-own cup program, where the customer saves money by reducing waste.
